hey there! i'm your photographer, kirsty.

International award winning pet photographer

Hi there! I’m Kirsty – a proud dog mum, metalhead, and internationally recognized pet photographer with a passion for capturing the unique bond between people and their pets. Based in the heart of Lincolnshire, I share my home (and my heart!) with my three lovable Setters. Since 2019, I’ve been dedicated to photographing pets and working with pet-loving businesses, turning my love for animals into a full-time career. Just like you, animals are my everything.

my dogs (aka my world)

Katie

Katie is a Llewellyn-line English Setter all the way from Ireland, and I’ve had her since she was 9 months old. When I say she’s a little troublemaker, I’m not exaggerating! From sneaky sock stealing to darting after birds, she’s always up to something and definitely keeps me on my toes.

But beneath all that mischief is the cuddliest little companion you could ever imagine—she loves nothing more than flopping upside down on my lap for snuggles. She’s pure energy and pure love rolled into one!

Indigo

Indigo is the baby of the family, born on February 12th, 2024, and she’s already a huge character in our household. Equal parts brainless and brilliant, she’s my obedience prospect for 2025/26—and a total lap dog at heart. She’s bursting with energy but also incredibly affectionate, always ready to dish out some love (and maybe a nibble—she’s a bit of a land shark!).

If I had a penny for every time someone asked if she was a Rottweiler, I’d be rolling in it! Treats are her ultimate weakness, and while I’ve tried spoiling her with fancy snacks, she’ll always choose the bargain “pick’n’mix” treats from Pets at Home

Murphy

Murphy is my heart dog, the one who started it all. I rescued him in 2019 from some pretty tough circumstances, and he was in such bad shape that we weren’t sure he’d pull through. It was during his recovery that I first picked up a camera to document his journey, and that’s when people began asking me to photograph their pets, too.

He truly is the best dog I’ve ever known. Against all odds, Murphy made a full recovery and is now a happy, healthy 8-year-old. In 2024, he even got to attend Crufts to do an obedience display, a testament to how far he’s come.

asked questions

Do you photograph shy, anxious, or reactive pets?

Yes, I photograph shy, anxious, and reactive pets! I take a patient, calm approach to help them feel comfortable. For example, with a nervous dog, I might start with quiet, relaxed shots or a play session to build trust. For reactive pets, I use minimal equipment and work at a pace that suits them. Every pet is unique, and I tailor each session to ensure a positive experience for your pet.

What if my pet doesn’t sit still or follow commands?

No worries at all! Many pets don’t sit still or follow commands, and that’s perfectly fine. I work with pets in a relaxed, natural way, capturing their personality in the moment. Whether they’re running, playing, or just being themselves, I’ll make sure we get beautiful shots that showcase their true spirit.

What if the weather is bad for an outdoor session?

If the weather isn't ideal for an outdoor session, we can easily reschedule for a day with better conditions. I’ll assess the situation and make the call, as I know what’s achievable for creating the best images, ensuring your pet looks their best no matter the conditions.

What’s included in your session fee?

My photography packages include everything you need for a memorable experience:

- Complimentary consultation to discuss your pet’s personality and session details
- Planning and styling to ensure the shoot reflects your vision
- A 1-2 hour photoshoot at Ostler’s Plantation (LN10 6YY)
- Image reveal and selection to choose your favorite shots
- £50 credit towards wall art

The session fee is £125.

Portrait sessions can take place at any location within the UK. For sessions outside of Lincolnshire, please contact me to discuss travel options.

Can I bring more than one pet to the session?

Yes, you can absolutely bring more than one pet to the session, as long as they’re all from the same household and live together. The session will remain 1 hour long, and we’ll capture beautiful moments with all of your pets during that time! Just let me know how many pets you'll be bringing, and i’ll plan accordingly.

Can I be in the photos with my pet?

Yes, absolutely! I love including owners in photos with their pets. Whether it’s a cozy cuddle or an action shot, we can capture the special bond you share. Just let me know, and we’ll plan the session to include both you and your pet in the best possible way.

How do I book a session with you?

Booking a session is easy! Simply fill out the contact form on my website, or reach out via email. Once I have a little info about your pet and what you’re looking for, we’ll schedule a time that works for you, and I'll guide you through the rest of the process.

Are your sessions safe for pets that need to remain on a lead?

Yes, absolutely! I ensure all sessions are safe for pets that need to remain on a lead. Leads can easily be incorporated into the photos or removed during the editing process, so your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, I offer payment plans on all additional products to make your session more flexible. You can spread the cost of your products over several installments. Just let me know when booking, and I’ll provide details on how we can arrange a plan that works for you.

Do you require a deposit to book?

Yes, the £125 session fee is due in full at the time of booking. There's no need to pay for digitals, wall art, or prints upfront unless you'd like to. The cost of any products purchased during your image reveal is due on that day. Payment plans are available to make the process more flexible for you.
